What's Your Final Destination?
How many of you have a knowing in your hearts where you will spend eternity?
We are going to be finishing up our podcast series on judging/judgement within the next month. Finishing with a podcast on the Final Judgement Day, where both believers and unbelievers alike will be standing before God to be judged by Christ Jesus. He will judge in righteousness in the presence of all men and angels, and His final judgement will be either a gracious gift of life everlasting to the righteous or "JUST" damnation to everlasting punishment for the wicked.
I read a short story this week that I would like to share with you. It's short and is food for thought for all of us to chew on, and digest into our minds and hearts.
Here's the story..................
A man was arrested for killing a police officer in a drunken car chase and crash. He is facing a lot of charges that could cause him to serve years in prison. As he was being led to the police car in handcuffs, he said that he was sorry. But, the sad fact was, he made the decision to be sorry, too late to change the outcome.
This story made me think of the many that will one day stand before God and be sorry for their sins and sorry for not believing and following His Son, Jesus Christ; surrendering their lives to Him---but it will be too late. That's why it is so important for all of us to make that decision to tell Him we are sorry for our sins here and now on this earth. When death comes, it will be too late to repent; our eternal destination will be sealed. "Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out."
Our Father is a loving Father, ask Him today to come into your heart and build a relationship with Him by repenting and making a choice to walk through life with Him. By accepting His Son, and accepting the sacrifice He did on the cross and Him walking VICTORIOUSLY out of the grave; you will understand you have an assurance, a confidence, a knowing that you will be with Him for eternity. Read your Bible and digest the word of God, communicating with him daily in praise and worship and prayer, being led by the Holy Spirit. He loves you and wants you to know Him.
So.................... Have you made a choice on your destination yet?
